It seems like every day our university is getting more and more polluted by the second, and no one seems to really care. A lot of people complain about it saying that it is a problem concerning to the authorities of the university, but what about us students? doesn’t this problem involve us?

This problem right here is an example about the way we think as a country, we always think that somebody else is going to fix the problems for us, that it is not our business or that we shouldn’t care.

But the truth is that we should care, and we need to be more conscious about this, there are a lot of easy ways of keeping our buildings and green areas garbage-free, the first step that we have to take is to make a conscious effort to create less pollution:

Please do not to throw garbage on the floor, for example if the trash cans have maxed out their capacity keep the plastics bags, sheets of paper or other stuff to yourself and then throw it away at home.

Use reusable lunch containers and use a copier that prints on both sides of the paper to reduce paper use in this way we would generate a lot less garbage.

There are many things that we can do to keep our university clean, but the more important thing is to be aware of our problem and being proactive to fix it.

How to improve your vocabulary.

(Dedicated to students of Practice of English I)

I can speak from experience about some circumstances in which one can feel a little bit scared while taking this subject (Practice I), especially if you don’t have much background knowledge.

Sometimes we tend to feel a little bit discouraged when we are learning a new language, we feel like there is too much to take in or too much that we have to remember: new expressions, lots of idioms, new words. Some of the time this can be a quite difficult but all we have to do is to find ways of making it easier for us.

The main focus of this post is to give you guys tips and easy techniques to improve your vocabulary and to help you feel more comfortable while you are learning English.

So here are a few easy techniques we can use to help us learn a new language:

• As far as the English Language it doesn’t matter if our pronunciation isn’t the best, the important thing is to get used to the language and to acquire new vocabulary.

• Take advantage of all those TV programs and reality shows that cable TV has to offer, and pay close attention to new expressions and new words and try to recognize and remember many of them as possible.

• Listen to lots and lots of English music, and then look for the lyrics of your favorite songs online, this is a really good and fun way to learn.

• Read as much things in English as you can, newspapers, magazines, blogs, there are a lot of resources available online.

• Finally don’t give up! For you to be the best, you have to try hard and to make your best effort, so don’t quit easily and always stay on the fight! =D

MOVIE PRESENTATIONS BY NINETH SEMESTER STUDENTS

There will be a movie presentation next semester for the new English Students. These movies were made by the current students of the nineth semester. these movies are based on one of Williams Shakespiare´s works; Midsummer Night's Dream and another play writen by Bernard Shaw called pygmalion.

Some people say that the L word of this prom means LOSERS but is not true jeje....

The thing is that there are a lot of nice people of this prom we are going to miss not only nice people successful students throughout these 5 years have had commitment and responsibility in his career. More than 5 professor's assistands who have taught with patience and step by step to a whole generation of students who want the same thing... these people are not just fellow students but also have a friendship that has helped to have a most beautiful experience in their lives as students. Each one of them has a unique personality and we all know that they will have a successful future in what is proposed.
